I am a third year midwifery student at Mount Royal University and am thrilled to be a part of your care team at Aurora! I am honoured to walk alongside you and your families through this sacred journey.
I have felt drawn to birth for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had no idea that a career in midwifery was a possibility. After completing a bachelor of music in flute at the University of Manitoba, I learned about doulas and trained with the Manitoba Association for Childbirth and Family Education (MACFE) and with DONA International. I quickly realized my heart and soul were in midwifery, and I knew where I needed to be.
Now, I am so grateful to be a part of welcoming new souls into the world, and to provide support for the profound transitions that pregnancy, birth and parenting bring. I stand by respectful and compassionate care, evidence based practices, and the knowledge that every childbearing experience matters. Throughout my studies, I have also had the pleasure of working with the Canadian Association of Midwives and the Student Midwives’ Association of Canada.
When I’m not studying, I love to garden, hike, and explore the city’s beautiful parks and pathways. I can often be found eating brunch or enjoying a great coffee.
