Hope McLennan

Hello! My name is Hope and I’m an Inuk-Métis midwife originally from Brandon Manitoba.

I should have always known that I wanted to be a midwife. My fascination with pregnancy and birth began when I was 6 years old and I became a big sister for the first time. Reading the books and looking at the pictures of how my baby sister was growing ignited a passion within me to work with families and babies. When I was in High School I found midwifery, and I haven’t looked back since. I moved here from Manitoba to complete my degree at Mount Royal University and am proud to call Calgary my new home where I live with my partner Brett. I’ve also recently recruited my mom and brother as well as 2 of my sisters to move to Calgary and am loving being able to spend more time with them!

I firmly believe that birth is a normal and natural process and that all pregnant people should have informed choice.

I look forward to working at such an amazing practice and being a part of your lives during such a special and transformative time!
