Cassandra Gaudette

Like many other midwives, my path to midwifery was a bit long and winding!
I started by studying and working in the field of nutrition. I absolutely loved working with pre-conception, pregnancy, and infants in my nutrition practice; it was so fulfilling to play a part in optimizing the health and wellness of a growing family. From there, I went on to study and teach yoga, while pursuing my passion for dance on the side as a CFL cheerleader. It was through cheer that I met some of my best friends; several of whom used midwives for their prenatal, birth and postpartum care. As I learned of their experiences, I finally realized how I could combine my passions for nutrition, health, pregnancy, and infant care into a meaningful career. I applied for the midwifery program at MRU shortly afterwards, and never looked back.
What I love about midwifery is the opportunity to play a small part in the growth of a family. I have the privilege of being able to empower, educate, and support families, while also bearing witness to some of the most exciting and memorable moments of their lives.
Beyond midwifery, my passions lie in family, fitness, and food. I am a wife to a wonderful, loving man, a proud Auntie, a sister, a daughter, a dancer, and a Step class enthusiast. I love baking healthy treats, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
Thank you for learning about me, and I can’t wait to learn more about you!
Cassandra is on parental leave until March 2026. She will return on Team Soleil
